Ductwork & Dryer Vents

We look at the ducts and vents that move air through your home and fix what is leaking, blocked or undersized.

Ducts are easy to forget because they sit in the attic, crawl space or behind walls. When they leak, come loose or get crushed, the furnace and air conditioner run longer and some rooms never feel right. Common signs are a room that stays hotter or colder than the rest, weak airflow at a register, dust that returns quickly, or ducts that sweat in summer. We start by looking at the system as it runs, then check the duct runs we can reach for gaps, loose joints, damaged sections and poor connections at the equipment. From there we tell you what we found and what we would fix, in plain terms. If the existing ducts are fine, we say so. We do not try to sell a new system when the old one works fine. Dryer vents are a separate job with a safety side. Lint builds up in the vent line, slows drying and can become a fire risk. We can check the vent run and outside termination and clear or correct what is wrong. Call us from 7am to 9pm, any day of the week, to set up a visit.

Common questions

How do I know if my ducts are leaking?

Rooms that never reach the set temperature, weak airflow at registers, and high energy use are typical signs. We can inspect the accessible duct runs and show you where air is escaping.

Why does my dryer take so long to dry a load?

A lint-clogged or crushed vent line is a common cause. We can check the vent from the dryer to the outside wall and clear or repair it.

Do I need new ducts when I replace my furnace or air conditioner?

Not always. If the existing ducts are in good shape and sized for the new equipment, they can stay. We will check them during the estimate and tell you what we see.
